The day has come...Well It came yesterday

This is a sign that hangs on my door. It says what I can and can't do. I also took notes on it to remind myself not to do said things. I'm in confinement in my bedroom. There is no going in or out unless it's to and from the hospital. The reason being because behind this door holds power unimaginable ..behind this door lies Radioactive Superchick with the power........to move you. I tried to take a movie of them giving me the radioactive pills also know as I-131 but alas they said no, however My husband Robbie could watch. They brought into this tiny room a heavy tube with a lid. They removed the lid and slowly and heavily they turned the lid and lifted it off. Then Vinny my Indian nuclear medicine specialist who is short and cute said, "Would you like to kiss your wife for the last time?" Robbie and I were taken aback "GASP!" So Robbie approached me and Vinny had to screw the heavy lid back on. So now I was properly kissed and ready for take 2. The lid was OFF and I could see the walls of the tube were really thick it looked like a giant bullet and inside this giant bullet was a plastic bullet with my name on it. Vinny lifted the plastic bullet and unscrewed that one I was kinda hoping a cute little cardboard bullet would be inside with a note that said "BANG" but it was the blue I-131. I was then allowed back home to confinement. These are a list of things I cannot do.
1. touch little animals
2. touch my husband, no kissing or anything else unless it is a quick hug.
3. no sharing a room with anybody!
4. cannot hang with kids.
5. cannot eat shellfish
6. cannot have salt with iodine in it.
FOR 48 HOURS!
I can still pass it through bodily fluids for up to a week so I cannot lick you in the face. I'm kinda having fun with this but I am soo tired. I have read books knitted and so forth. I recently finished Are you there God it's me Margaret , I can see why Sawyer loves that book, I feel like a woman now.

Kay's Husband

I do not know how many knitters out there check up on my blog. However. Somebody had let me borrow this book. Mason-Dixon knitting and I took off knitting inspired by these ladies Witt, humor, and projects. I also followed their blog Mason-Dixon Knitting.com. I am sad to say that Kay's husband passed away today. They will be in my thought's and prayer. If anybody out there wanted to to something for the family consider knitting for an organization called Afghans for Afghans.org, they collect blankets, sweaters, mittens, socks for people in need in Afghanistan . They are always in need and that's all Kay has asked for.

My Knitting, My Cake

Happy Late Easter

Happy late Easter. Some people have been wondering how I'm doing. I'm ok just tired. The only difference is that I thought it would be a steady decline in energy but that's not the case. I have had good and bad days. I've had days were I take a 15 minute nap and I'm ok but yesterday I slept for 3 hours and I was still tired!! I do have cold chills throughout the day. I sleep with a hot water bottle my feet are ice cold , and I drag a little in the day. I am knitting when I have energy. I am working on a leaf patter It's like easy lace knitting and Iv'e gotten pretty far. Hopefully I finish soon.

Well I feel loved. These are the flowers Hayley sent me!! She's in Germany and I wonder if she ordered while in Germany? If so, She has to teach me how to say that! Guten Tag flowers? I know that's not it that's like hello flowers or something. But wait the flowers have a little friend! It's Dannie's Alligator! Dannie's alligator lives in Hayley's flowers. Dannie sent me and egg that I kept in water and a baby alligator grew! Alas it was not a dinosaur. What should I name him? I think it's a boy if it lives in Hayley's flowers. I tried to fix the comment box so if you do not have a google account you can write it Type your name and choose anonymous and it will NOT appear until I approve it. So! There you go (like the dad in My Big Fat Greek Wedding) Thanks for all the e-mails and text messages I love you all. Next maybe a video? Some are very curious as to what a body scan is and I would be too. So I'm going to try to sneak in some video if I can. Peace Out.

Feelings nothing more than feelings

On April 9th it is my second day of my hormones. I feel hmmm cloudy and CRANKY! Poor Robbie. However random text between me and Jacey my friend from church has helped out. I am also getting cold chills in the night so that means LEG WARMERS! As soon as I finish my shawl I am making leg warmers. Now let me say Even though I have been cloudy I have wanted to knit more than ever and this is wrong, wrong , wrong I have so many mistakes. For the recipient of my shawl. (Whisper) I'm so sorry ;) I have more things to share but I need to upload pictures for that :) Easter is coming yay!!!

Open curtain Monica is checking e-mail for a secret knitting project I will share in the future. I yell
Me: Rob!!!
R:What?!

R: Cat who?! (Really annoyed, you don't interrupt a man during the Simpson's)
Me: Hello I'm Cat Let's knit together.
R: (Comes running to the computer) She Did!! Holy Crap! That's so cool!

I've typed this convo twice so hopefully I've done the moment justice. Getting an e-mail from Cat is up there with the time I met Gordon from Sesame street.

Hello

My very first Blog ......YAY!!!!!!!!! (If you know me well, you now I say that a lot.)Hokay so what got me interested in blogging was knitting. I know you don't see the connection...WELL. Don't the best stories start out with....WELL. I cannot promise this is one of those stories. I had this kooky, fiery, fisty, intelligent, beautiful teacher, Mrs. Galloway for 3rd and 5th grade. She was never my own teacher but she had a gift of knowing all the children in the school. Her name is Mrs. Galloway. I could tell she was cool when I and my group of friends flooded an entire classroom and she stood up and defended us. (But that's for another day) I grew up and graduated from college and went to work as a T.A ( A Teacher Assitant but I believe it stands for Target Area) at my old school. I was there with Mrs. Galloway, who I looked at still with stars in my eyes. Like a little Kid does at his or her teacher when they see them interact in the real world. She always had her knitting. We became friends so much so that we get together at her house and knit along with Keri, Liz and Monique all from the same school district. I learned August 2008 and know I'm trying my hand out at lace knitting. I AM ADDICTED. I love getting together and knitting. It is a social hobby. I am very comfortable @ Mrs. Galloway's house, and she with me, I could tell because one day I said "Hey Mrs. Galloway cand I have some water?" and she said "Get the f&%K out of my house or call me Debbie. No more of Mrs. Galloway!" I love her. She wanted a blog so the knitt-witts is our group blog however very rarely do we take care of it maybe with my new found interest we will so check it out later.
I am obsessed OBSESSED with knitting. (I also love typing IN ALL CAPITALS to prove a point and if you hate that....you'll hate me.) On i-tunes there's a free FREE video podcast called
Let's knit together Cat is the host. She is the cutest person in the whole world and she shows you different techniques in a 12 minute show and goes to knitting and yarn events. The best part is @ these events she meets people I interact witn online all the time. Host of ravelry and The yarn harlott. The Yarn Harlott blog is sooo funny. I have only interacted with them as random comments but I want my own blog! So here it is.
Also I have been kinda sick. I had thyroid cancer when I was 19 and I have a bump in my neck. I am schedualed for a body scan and a neck scan with Radiactive Iodine pills. I had to leave my beloved Levoxyl pills wich is my daily hormone pill. It's the pill that keeps me alive. Since I have no thyroid. It also keeps me energetic. I am so tired and my immune system is down.I right now and coughing my lungs out. I had to leave work, church, my bible study (SHOUT OUT TO MY GANSTAS WITH A BIBLE!) and missed Brynne's B-day(SHOUT OUT TO P-2!) , and have not gone walking with Mina or see Meg (SHOUT OUT TO TFN) I told you if you hate caps man,you hate me. So I figured instead of writting tons of e-mail I will keep a blog and you guys can check it out beacuse my energy is wasted by 12:00.
It is 9:23. Robert is complaining that I need to be in bed. (to keep him warm) but I am excited about this. It's my diary which you all can read.
Now my name Radiactive Superchick was given to me by a friend named Jim when I was 18. I loved him he was soo funny. He was around when I first got a tumor and the docs gave me Radioactive Iodine pills,
but these were no ordinary pills. They gave me Super Powers! I would no longer be known as Monica from the block I would become RADIOACTIVE SUPERCHICK with the power to zap spiders in a hospital room before I even touch them. That really did happen and Jim gave me that name. Now I have lost touch with my friend who used to call and make me laugh while my first stint in the hospital but the name stuck. So if anyone knows Jim who was Joylover24 back in the day let me know. So please check again for another episode of Radioactive Superchick of the 21st century! Did I mention I have superhero complex?
